A good example is our FG series which is classified under high pressure as it uses a pump to pressurize water to 70Bar (1000PSI). Water at this pressure is pushed through specialized nozzles with tiny orifices (0.2 to 0.7L/min flow rates) which create ultra fine mist droplets. Each droplet further undergoes cooling and due to rapid evaporation, additional cooling occurs. This results in the surrounding air temperature to be reduced to a range of 3°C and 8°C (up to 20°F). Low pressure systems such as the LP series, on the other hand, have water being pumped at lower pressures or rely on gravity making them ideal for simple applications like patio misting umbrellas.
